Is There a Difficulty Trophy & Achievement in Division 2? Answered

Recommended Videos

So that you’re clear in your search for the platinum or 1000 Gamerscore, here’s everything you need to know about if there is a difficulty trophy or achievement in Division 2.

Ubisoft’s The Division 2 sees the action move away from New York City, this time taking places to a falling apart Washington D.C. As before, you set out into the world to complete missions, and you can choose the difficulty setting at times.

Is There a Difficulty Trophy or Achievement

There is a difficulty trophy and achievement in Division 2. On PS4, it is a gold trophy called ‘ Hard as Nails’ and it requires you to finish all of the missions on hard difficulty or above. On Xbox One, the achievement is worth 100 GamerScore.

First of all, you will need to complete the mission on Normal, which is default as you progress. However, as soon as you have finished a mission, you will be able to replay it, switching to Story difficulty or Hard difficulty.

Therefore, since you have to play any story mission on Normal difficulty first, you will have to essentially replay the whole game to get the difficulty trophy or achievement.

Replaying Missions in Division 2

To replay missions, head to the map (Touchpad/View button) and look for the icon of the mission you just played. It’ll say ‘Completed’ under the name of the mission on the left of the screen.

To replay it so that you can get the difficulty trophy or achievement, you need to hold triangle/Y with the mission highlighted.

Before you enter the actual area of the mission, you’ll be able to change the difficulty by pressing X/A on whichever difficulty option you want.

If it’s anything like The Division 1, another even harder difficulty will unlock once you finish a mission on hard, which will also count towards the difficulty trophy or achievement.

Then, when you return and complete the mission on hard, you will be one step towards the difficulty trophy or achievement in Division 2. Thankfully, you’ll need to replay missions occasionally to level up as you play, so it’s not as unnecessarily time consuming as it sounds.

That’s everything you need to know about if there is a difficulty trophy or achievement in Division 2. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our Division 2 wiki guide.
