How to Play Co-op Multiplayer With Friends in The Division 2
Ubisoft and Massive are back with The Division 2, which takes players to the streets of Washington DC this time around. Here’s what you need to know about how to play co-op multiplayer with friends in The Division 2.
Just like in the first game, you can team up with up to three other people when taking on missions in the game. Before that, though, you’ll first need to clear the prologue mission. Once you’ve unlocked the Base of Operations at the White House, you’ll be able to start inviting friends to your session.
Inviting and Playing Co-op Multiplayer With Friends
After unlocking the Base of Operations in The Division 2, pull up the menu with the Options button on PS4 (or Menu button on Xbox One), then choose the Social option. With the left stick, scroll down to your friends list and choose the friend you want to invite, then select the Invite to Group option.
This will allow them to join your session directly.

Alternatively, if your friend needs help, you can join their session instead to play co-op multiplayer. Again, scroll down to your friends list, then choose the Join Group option to warp to their session.
If none of your friends are online, you can still engage in some co-op multiplayer action in The Division 2. From any Safe House, you can activate the computer terminal to begin matchmaking with random players.
You can also head directly to a main mission marker, then hold down the square button (X on Xbox One) to start matchmaking with other players.
That’s all you need to know about how to play co-op multiplayer with friends in The Division 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our Division 2 guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
