Uncharted 4 may be the big game of April’s PlayStation Plus free offering but Codemasters‘ Dirt Rally 2.0 is a great sim racer. As you zip around the hairpins, threading the needle along the tight tracks, you’ll want to get the best view of what’s ahead. If you’re not enjoying the default option, here’s everything you need to know about how to change camera view in Dirt Rally 2.0.
As is the case in most racing games, different camera views work for different people. The cockpit views keep you close to the road but limits your view of what’s to come, while zoomed out views reduce the surprises but limit your ability to be precise.
How to Change Camera View in Dirt Rally 2.0
There are seven different camera view options in the game. Three of them are from different positions in the cockpit, two are on the front of the car and close to the road, and two are at different distances behind the car.
To change it, all you need to do is press triangle if you’re on PlayStation 4 or Y if you’re on Xbox One. However, you’ll need to press the button each time you want to change it, cycling through the seven options until you get to the one you want.
The best thing to do is to wait until you’re on a straight part of a track to change camera view, or even do it before the race starts, because trying to press something else while going around a tight corner will only result in you crashing.
