How to Do a Dropkick as Nero in Devil May Cry 5

Recommended Videos

Devil May Cry 5 marks the return of Nero, the impulsive young protagonist introduced in DMC 4 back in 2008. This time around Nero is stronger and angrier than ever before and his artificial Devil Breaker arms give him more combat options than ever. The game doesn’t always tell you about all of your combat moves, however, so here’s how to do a dropkick as Nero in Devil May Cry 5.

Nero basically has three distinct weapons to use in combat, his sword Red Queen, his gun Blue Rose, and his Devil Breaker arms.

There are more options around this, of course, but most everything boils down to these three. The one exception to this is the dropkick, which lets Nero bash right into an enemy with a devastating kick that sends them flying.

In order to do a dropkick, you’ll need to use the taunt button, which is the View button Xbox and the touchpad on PS4. If you press the taunt button while standing still Nero will do a taunt, which can boost your style ranking and generally just make enemies mad.

However, if you press the taunt button while Nero is running he’ll execute the dropkick.

This move is a great way to leap into a group of enemies and separate them, then letting you focus in on one to eliminate while the others recover from your kick. You already have plenty of options, but don’t forget that you have the dropkick to use. It can be easy to forget considering it’s not associated with any of your main attack buttons.

It should be noted that Nero is the only character that has this ability, and the taunt button is simply used to taunt for both V and Dante.

That tells you everything you need to know about how to do a dropkick (Nero) in Devil May Cry 5. For even more tips, tricks, and guides make sure to search Twinfinite, and you can also check out our extensive Devil May Cry 5 guide wiki.
