How to Get All Detroit Become Human Endings

First and foremost, I want to explain that there are a ton of ways things can go down in Detroit Become Human. So, to make things easy, we’ll separate them based on whether characters die or survive.

Spoilers will follow! You’ve been warned!

Kara dies in the house – It’s possible to straight up end Kara’s story by just having her stay still in the beginning of Detroit Become Human when the abusive father tells her to.

Kara dies at the end – This can be achieved in different ways. But basically, opt for Kara to not follow instructions or not attempt escape if she’s at the Recycling Center, or opt for her to go through the Canadian border while Markus is launching a violent revolution.

Kara survives but Alice dies – It’s possible for Kara to survive but Alice to not if you end up at the Recycling Center. When someone in front of Kara is asked to take an android body to the dump, volunteer in their place. Take the body and once you dump it, keep walking forward until you get on a truck and go. If Markus is doing a peaceful demonstration, the camp Alice is in won’t be liberated in time. Also, while at the center, you can make Alice’s stress levels high enough and she’ll break the rules. Don’t intervene and she’ll be shot and killed.

Kara dies and Alice survives – Again, choose anything that defies the guards in the Recycling Center in any way. Make ’em mad, basically. Then, Markus needs to be doing the violent revolution path because this will ensure he gets to Alice’s camp in time. Additionally, if you’re Escaping Detroit and are in the Canadian Border line, opt to “Sacrifice Self” as Kara.

Kara survives and Alice survives – Ah, yes, the happy ending. You can get these in both the Recycling Center and Canadian Border. In the Recall Center, you simply need Luther and Scarred Robots (released in Zlatko’s chapter). While waiting in line for death, accomplish joining Alice’s line. Then, look at Luther off to your left and talk to him. Then, look to your right and L1 on the fence (that’s the escape route). Then, talk to the scarred robots behind you. You can then look at the guard and send either Luther or the Robots. Send the bots if you want the Happy Family trophy. Luther, Alice, and Kara will all book it to the fence. A guard will stop Kara as she’s about to go, though. Opt to “Protect Alice” here and succeed in the QTE to ensure all three heroes make their getaway.

Meanwhile, in the Canadian Border, make the line and if you had saved the Jerrys before, you can use them for a distraction. If you didn’t, you can proceed through normally but Markus must be doing a peaceful protest. Only then will Kara and Alice survive and escape that way.

Connor’s Endings

How to Get All Detroit Become Human Endings

Connor can influence the overarching story of Detroit Become Human and influence whether the androids win or are exterminated.

Connor dies – This one’s possible a bunch of times, as is the case with all characters’ deaths, really. Just fail missions left and right. Get yourself beat in QTEs during important action sequences at the end. Or even just plain ol’ accomplish his mission like he was programmed to do. Turns out that being a good little robot will repay him with a replacement model.

Connor survives a machine – Stick to the mission as much as possible. Don’t care about androids and do what Connor was programmed to do. This will inevitably lead to him facing off with Markus. There’s no way both characters can live with this possibility, so eventually you will have to pick a side. Choose Connor’s and kill the deviant leader.

Connor survives a deviant – Show signs of empathy at any turn and stray from Connor’s mission. Eventually (and inevitably), CyberLife will reveal that they have the ability to totally control Connor at any moment. They’ll choose the victory scene when he’s standing next to Markus on a stage to do so. You need to find the Emergency Exit to get out of the wintery zen garden during this time to stop yourself from assassinating Markus.

Markus’ Endings

Markus, being such an important character, will of course influence the outcome of the androids. He is probably the closest manifestation to RA9.

Markus dies – Again, this one can happen a ton of times. You just need to fail QTEs. A lot of opportunities for this will pop closer to the end of Detroit Become Human.

Markus dies during the peaceful protest – You can fail the QTEs here, or you can simply make some poor decisions in your dialogue options. When it comes to accepting Fowler’s deal or not, accept it and you’ll be killed anyway. Surprise! The bad guy is bad! If you refuse it, eventually you and the companions of Jericho will be cornered. Here, choose the Sacrifice option and you’ll go out in a literal blaze of glory.

Markus lives during the peaceful protest –Don’t fail QTE commands, don’t accept Fowler’s deal, and when it comes to being cornered, opt to either kiss North if you have that option, or start singing. This will lead to the soldiers being ordered to stand down, and the androids will have gained peace for a moment.

Markus dies during the violent revolution – You know the drill by now, fail the QTEs! And, if it comes to it, when Connor meets up with Markus at the battlefield, choose to play as Connor and beat the every loving sense out of Markus. He can also just be straight up sniped, but you won’t be able to do that as Connor if Hank is alive and able to stop you.

Markus lives during the violent revolution – Succeed in every way in your attack. Either thwart Connor’s attack on Markus or await him showing up with thousands of androids from CyberLife. Either way, winning the revolution means a lot of blood has been shed, but the soldiers will back down. This ending leaves it very ambiguous as to whether it was the best choice, though, as they’ve now definitely started a war.

And that’s all of the different endings in Detroit Become Human. Be sure to check out our wiki for more tips, tricks, and information on Detroit Become Human.
