While most of the action in Destruction Allstars will come while you’re in a car, bashing into anyone you see, you will want to get out to run around every now and then to collect gems and find new rides. If you come across some other people on foot, you can also do something to get them out of the way. If you find yourself fighting over a fresh car with someone, here’s everything you need to know about how to punch in Destruction Allstars.
While it’s technically not “punching”, since Destruction Allstars is too kid-friendly for that, it is really. The game calls it barge, not punch, just so you’re aware.
How to Punch in Destruction Allstars
By default, all you need to do is press square when you’re looking at another enemy that is on foot. Using the right stick to attack, like you do in a car, does not work, and of course, you can only punch other enemies and not cars. You can try if you like, but you’ll only get knocked out and will have to wait to respawn.
You can change the button used to punch in Destruction Allstars by heading to the main menu and pressing the Options button.
From there, scroll across to the Keybinds tab and look for the Barge section that shows the default bind to square. You can then change it to whatever you like and think would feel more natural in game. You’ll then be able to punch whoever you like so that no-one beats you to the fresh ride you have you eyes set on.
