While doing the Nessus Vex transponder portion of the Impossible Task Quest in Destiny 2: Season of Dawn you might have run into a problem of one of the transponder locations not being where it says it is on the map. Specifically the one located in The Tangle. In actuality, it’s located in The Mists. So like we mentioned above, the instinct of many players (including myself) when first approaching this part of the Vex Transponder quest is to go straight to The Tangle and then right to the X on your map. Unfortunately the transponder isn’t here, it’s underneath you and you actually need to backtrack to a separate location so you can enter The Mists. Peep the images below to see where you have to go.

Go to that spot on the map above, and you should see the cave entrance below:

Head in there, follow the path and you’ll eventually end up at The Mists. From here, it’s much more straight forward and it’s hard to get lost. Just fight your way through some vex as you get led towards the spot on your map.

When you reach this room, look for the following transponder location below:

It’ll be marked on your minimap so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find once you’re close. Go ahead and plant your transponder, leave The Mists and be on your merry way through the rest of the Impossible Task quest.

If you get stuck on the next part, where you need to find Saint 14’s ghost, we have a guide for that too.

That’s all you need to know for how to get to The Mists from The Tangle, and place the Nessus Vex Transponder for the Impossible Task Quest in Destiny 2: Season of Dawn. For more tips, tricks and FAQs answered, be sure to check our our year 3 wiki guide for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep.
