Destiny 2 Witch Queen: What the Max Crafted Weapon Level Is

destiny 2 witch queen max crafted weapon level

Destiny 2 Witch Queen has arrived, bringing with it a whole host of new mechanics such as weapon patterns, resonant weapons, an evidence board, and of course, a whole host of exotic gear. As part of all the new weapon crafting mechanics, players can level up crafted weapons to unlock new perks, and that’s got players wondering just what the max level cap is for crafted weapons in Destiny 2 Witch Queen.

What Is the Max Crafted Weapon Level?

There isn’t actually a max crafted weapon level cap in Destiny 2 Witch Queen, as players can continue to level up their weapons as much as they want. At least, this appears to be the case at the time of writing, just under a week after the expansion released.

However, there does appear to be a max crafted weapon level cap where any further leveling for most weapons won’t impact their efficacy in combat. This appears to be around the level 16-20 mark, depending on which specific crafted weapon you’re leveling up.

If you want to play it on the safe side, you’ll find that most weapons will have all of their perks unlocked by level 20. After this point, you’ll just be leveling it up for bragging rights among your fellow Guardians.

Keep in mind that the max crafted weapon level is entirely different to the new soft, hard and pinnacle power caps introduced as part of Destiny 2 Witch Queen, which now stand at 1500, 1550, and 1560 respectively.

Just like that, you now know when you can stop leveling up your crafted weapons in Destiny 2 Witch Queen. Looking for more tips to help you take on Savathun’s forces? Head on over to our Witch Queen wiki for more on the latest expansion to Bungie’s space shooter.
