In this guide, we’ll be explaining everything you need to know about the Destiny 2 Witch Queen Legendary Campaign, including what’s different, and what rewards you’ll get for taking on this tougher challenge.
Following the introductory cutscene for Destiny 2 Witch Queen, Guardians will be faced with an immediate decision: Go for the ‘Be Brave,’ option or ‘Become Legend.’ This is actually referring to playing through the campaign at the default difficulty, or on the much harder Legendary difficulty.
What’s Different in Destiny 2’s Legendary Witch Queen Campaign?
If you choose to take on this tougher challenge, players can expect to face a pretty challenging experience. Designer Lead Matt McConnell shared details on just how challenging the Legendary campaign is in a blog post, revealing that it’s designed to be harder than a Legendary Nightfall, “though it’s easier than a solo dungeon or running a Grandmaster Nightfall.”
Enemies will generally be more difficult and aggressive. They’ve got higher damage resistance, are tougher to stagger and their shields are stronger to unmatched damage types.
It’s not just the way enemies react in combat, but the type of enemies you’ll face is switched up compared to the basic campaign difficulty. For example, Elite enemies will be switched out for bosses, or you’ll have an influx of more red bar foes.
That being said, it should be noted that Legendary difficulty scales to match your Fireteam, so solo players will have enemy damage and health scale down, while three players will see the experience scale up, though not exactly 1:1.
