Best Legendary Weapons in Destiny 2: Warmind

  • Corkscrew Rifling/Smallbore/Fluted Barrel
  • Seraph Rounds
  • Rampage/Threat Detector

As soon as you finish the story campaign in Warmind, you’ll gain access to a post-game quest from Ana which rewards you with this sweet Legendary Hand Cannon. It falls short when it comes to range, but more than makes up for it in its stability and handling stats. It also comes with a Threat Detector perk that increases reload speed, stability, and handling whenever enemies are in close proximity, which means that you’re going to want to use this weapon in close range.

It’s serviceable enough in Destiny 2’s PvE content, but we found that this Legendary performed rather well in Crucible as well. The high impact stat lends itself well to surprising enemies as a Hunter sneaking around with a smoke bomb, and it can take out most Guardians in a couple of hits. We recommend using the Fluted Barrel and Threat Detector perks together for better performance in close range. It’s also worth noting that the Seraph Rounds perk allows rounds to overpenetrate targets and bounce off hard surfaces. Kinda like another Exotic weapon we’ve heard of before…

Battle Scar (Pulse Rifle)

Best Legendary Weapons in Destiny 2: Warmind

  • IS 2 Classic/Model 8 Red/Mark 10 Glass
  • Extended Mag/Flared Magwell
  • Full Auto Trigger System

The Lincoln Green used to be our favorite Pulse Rifle when Destiny 2 originally launched, but the newly introduced Battle Scar in Warmind might have just won us over. This Warmind Legendary just outclasses the Lincoln Green in every possible way, save for a slight dip in stability. It’s certainly no Nirwen’s Mercy from Destiny’s Iron Banner days, but the rest of this gun’s stats make it an extremely reliable kinetic weapon.

We recommend using the Flared Magwell magazine to increase its stability a little, and give a huge boost to the reload speed. With Flared Magwell, this becomes a very quick and handy weapon to use in Destiny 2’s PvE content. Even better, this gun has a Full Auto perk that lets the gun fire at full auto when you hold down the trigger. It basically becomes an Auto Rifle at that point. It performs decently in Crucible as well, but it’s better used elsewhere.

SCIPIO-D (Rocket Launcher)

Best Legendary Weapons in Destiny 2: Warmind

  • Linear Compensator/Hard Launch/Smart Drift Control
  • Black Powder/Alloy Casing
  • Auto-Loading Holster

The Warmind expansion introduced a new  Legendary Rocket Launcher in the form of the Scipio-D, and if you don’t have a Wardcliff Coil yet, this is a pretty worthy replacement. The Scipio-D does fall short in terms of velocity, but it outclasses the Wardcliff Coil in terms of blast radius (it’s basically maxed out) and reload speed. It’s rather slow-firing, but you can be sure that it’s going to deal a crap ton of damage in a wide radius.

It also comes with the Auto-Loading Holster perk which automatically reloads the weapon after it’s been holstered for a short period of time. The quick reload speed should be good enough, but this is still a pretty good perk for high-intensity situations where you have to switch weapons quickly. We recommend going for the Alloy Casing magazine to increase reload speed, and the Smart Drift Control barrel for additional stability, handling, and increased projectile speed.

Kibou AR3 (Auto Rifle)

Best Legendary Weapons in Destiny 2: Warmind

  • Candle PS/Flash HS5
  • Armor-Piercing Rounds/Tactical Mag
  • Dragonfly

If you’re an Auto Rifle fan, you’ll be pleased to know that one of the better Legendary guns is offered to you near the start of Warmind’s story campaign. Ana Bray will offer you a choice between three guns as a reward, and this is definitely the one you want to go with. The Kibou AR3 has impressive range, good stability, and very good handling. In fact, it’s getting harder to decide between the Scathelocke and the Kibou when it comes to best Legendary Auto Rifles currently in Destiny 2. The Scathelocke has much better reload speed, but the Kibou makes up for it with range.

In fact, you can even make up for its detriments with Tactical Mag to increase stability even further, along with its reload speed. This is a really well-rounded Auto Rifle that should make for a good partner in both PvE and PvP situations.
