Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes: How to Get Elemental Orbs

How to Get Elemental Orbs in Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes

Recommended Videos

Destiny 2’s new Solstice of Heroes event tasks players with collecting lots and lots of various elemental orbs. These come in three varieties: Arc Orbs, Void Orbs, and Solar Orbs.

To get elemental orbs, and more importantly, actually have them count towards your progress in the Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes armor set event, you’ll need to fulfill a few different conditions. First, you must have the entire Solstice of Heroes armor set equipped. All five set pieces must be on in order to produce elemental orbs. Otherwise, you won’t produce them!

Second, to get whatever orb you’re targeting, you need to make sure that you’re killing it with the correct damage type. For example, using solar damage from either solar weapons or abilities if you want solar orb. An effective way to get elemental orbs fast would be to make sure your subclass, and weapons, are all the same damage type that you’re trying to farm. You can get elemental orbs quite quickly if you and a fireteam all decked out in the same damage type, and farm heroic public events that throw a lot of enemies at you.

Finally, just getting elemental orbs to drop isn’t enough. Sure you can go over and pick it up, but you need to make sure you’re actually reading the directions on the armor you’re trying to complete and picking them up under the correct conditions. For example, one of the Solstice of Heroes armor set pieces tasks you with getting specific ones during a strike. So obviously, picking them up while doing patrols on Mars isn’t going to count in that scenario. So definitely make sure you’re carefully reading what you’re supposed to do.
