Where to Plant the Bugs in the Annex for the Vanguard Allegiance Quest in Destiny 2
Who would have thought that siding with the Vanguard would be such as shady operation? In Destiny 2’s Vanguard Allegiance questline, you’re eventually asked to spy on The Drifter to gain intel on his next move by planting bugs. Here is all the information you need for where to plant the bugs in the Annex during the Vanguard Allegiance quest in Destiny 2.
Examining the pursuit in your inventory, you know that you’ll need to go from the Hangar, where you’ve spent the last two steps of the quest, and you’ll need to go all the way over to the Annex to plant some bugs and listen in on the Drifter’s conversations. You can fast travel to the Annex from the Hangar using the map if you’d like, but I find that it’s buggy doing it that way sometimes. Either way should be fine though.
Below you can check out pictures of the exact location on the map of where you need to go in the Annex for this part of the Vanguard Allegiance quest, but just in case you prefer them or like having it alongside the pictures, here are some written directions too.
If you’re spawning in from the Annex’s transmat location in the Tower, head straight for The Drifter’s new location. Set the waypoint to him if that’s easier for you. When you enter the passageway right before you enter his room there is a little cranny to the left. This is where you’ll need to plant the bugs.
Thankfully, this is the only location you need to hit. The Vanguard and Aunor just want three of them in the same location for… reasons. I don’t know, let’s not think about it too much. Plant the bugs in this location three times, and you’ll get the Surveillance you need to move onto the next part of the Allegiance quest which will take you to the Tangled Shore. Finally we get to leave the Tower.
That does it for where to plant the bugs in the Annex for the Vanguard Allegiance quest in Destiny 2. Check out the pictures below if you’re in need of a precise spot.
