Destiny 2 Hunters have a ton of armor to choose from and every piece makes you look more unique. The Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves are a pair of exotic gauntlets in Destiny 2 that sport a basic patterned leather look, which would go well with most armor pieces. It offers very high mobility. It’s special abilities are:

  • Spring-Loaded Mounting — Increases Sidearm ready and reload speed.
  • Increases this armor’s mobility, allowing you to move faster.

All in all, this pair of exotic gauntlets is fairly basic for what you’re getting, but the Spring-Loaded Mounting ability will be of some use during your journey. There are a few ways to obtain this exotic in Destiny 2, the first of which is the story. After completing the story missions on Titan, Sloane (the vendor for this area) will have a reward for you offering three different pieces of exotic Hunter armor (if you’re playing a Hunter), one of which is the Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves. Choose it and you’re off to the races.

If you decide to choose something else during that part, you’re not out of luck. You can still obtain this piece of armor like you would any other exotic piece of armor – as a reward or from an exotic engram. You can farm exotic engrams by completing Public Events, running Strikes, or playing Crucible with a Fireteam Medallion equipped (this item raises your chances). You can also level up Vendors for legendary packages that sometimes provide an exotic. Finally, the Weekly Milestones are an option as the Luminous Engrams you earn as your Powerful Gear reward can sometimes provide an exotic.

That’s how to get the Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves exotic hunter gauntlets in Destiny 2. Enjoy, and keep hunting for upgrades! If you’re interested in how to get more exotics, head over to our wiki.
