How to Beat Kalli in Destiny 2’s Last Wish Raid
Kalli is the first encounter that you’ll come across in the Last Wish raid in Destiny 2: Forsaken. Here’s how to beat Kalli in Destiny 2 Forsaken’s Last Wish raid.
When you start the Last Wish Raid’s encounter with Kalli, you’ll notice that there are symbols that are hanging around the center location where the Kalli the Corrupted is located. There’s two per area. You’ll want someone assigned one of the two that are hanging, regardless of what the symbol actually is because it will change after you wipe and throughout the fight.
Stepping on a plate with a symbol will begin the Kalli Last Wish encounter, so make sure that all six fireteam members are split up and next to their correct plate, and when you’re ready to start, call it out and step on your plate.
On the plate, two mini Taken Blights will occupy two-thirds of the plate. You must always be on the section that does not have the blight. If you stand on the sections with the blight for too long, you will be instantly killed.
Your objective to clear this section of Last Wish is to stay on the plate long enough to spawn a Taken Knight. All six fireteam members will kill their knight that spawns, and then return to the center location where Kalli began, and begin to DPS Kalli. She will charge up a weapon, and glow bright white. Any members caught in this explosion when it goes off will be instantly killed.
To avoid her weapon, you must eventually bail on the DPS phase, and hide in one of the small green rooms that surrounding the circular location that surrounds the boss. There’s space for one person, per door that is open. The doors underneath where she is standing are the ones that will open, so be aware where she is. The door will close, the explosion will go off, and a bunch of enemies will spawn in the center location. Clear them out, and return to DPSing Kalli. You will do this three times.
Eventually, the symbols will respawn, and you will need to once again return to your correct plate, spawn and kill the Taken Knights, and return to DPSing Kalli. Rinse and repeat, and you will have cleared the first section of the Last Wish raid.
One important tip to keep in mind that applies to this whole section. Prioritize survival above all else. Yes, ideally, everyone handles their own Knight with ease and then moves on. But if you need help killing you Knight when it spawns, don’t force it. Call for help, and someone who is done with theirs can float around and help others.
Recommended weapons for the Last Wish Raid Kalli Fight: For the Thrall, a sidearm or a powerful hand cannon that can one-shot crit the Thrall that will swarm you at each plate is ideal. If you don’t have one, an auto rifle, if you’re quick at readjusting your aim, can suffice.
For the Knights, a shotgun will tear through them extremely quickly. We highly recommend a powerful, fast reloading shotgun.
Finally, for fighting Kalli in Last Wish, we highly recommend DPSing her with either the Sleeper Simulant or some kind of powerful Sniper Rifle/Linear Fusion Rifle. You don’t want to be too close to her because you won’t be able to quickly scramble back to the doors. So something with some range and power is best.
Recommended classes for the Last Wish Raid Kalli Fight: As far as classes go, you can do it with anything if you’re skilled, there’s no for sure 100% needed subclasses. However, a Nightstalker and/or Sunbreaker for defense down is great, as well as a Dawnbreaker running the new healing super. Also have something that can quickly clear out the mass of Thralls that will occupy the DPS area such as a Stormcaller.
That does it for how to beat the Kalli boss in Last Wish for Destiny 2 Forsaken. It’s tough, especially without coordination, but every raid, including Last Wish, has been this way so it’s nothing new. Work together, use a mic, and you might be able to be Kalli, and eventually all of Last Wish as well. Check out more guides over at our wiki for the game.
