The final boss of Destiny 2’s Inverted Spire Strike appears after dizzying platform sections, traversing a bombed-out battlefield, and avoiding a giant drill. Protheon is a towering Vex Minotaur that takes a lot of damage and has attacks that can hit behind walls.

The first stage of the fight involves Protheon walking and teleporting around the small area with explosive Void bolts. It can also stomp the ground and instantly kill players with a shockwave, so keeping your distance is necessary. Once enough damage has been done, the ground disappears and your fireteam will fall to another arena.

Protheon will stay in the middle of the second arena, firing energy bolts that can suppress. The arena consists of two platforms, one higher than the other. Occasionally, Protheon will slam the ground and the floor will be filled with fire. First, it affects the higher ground, then the lower so be ready to jump or suffer severe damage. After taking enough damage, the floor will disappear again and your team will fall to the final arena.

Protheon begins the third stage floating around with rifle attacks and a grenade launcher that causes the effects of a flashbang, almost completely blocking your vision if hit. Meanwhile, fanatics will spawn and must be taken out before touching any players and exploding. The final phase of the boss battle includes Protheon stomping the field in a rage, so keep moving and shooting until he is dead.

That is how you beat Protheon and the Inverted Spire Strike. For more on Destiny 2, check out our extensive wiki guide.
