How to Get the MIDA Multi-Tool in Destiny 2
The MIDA Multi-Tool is a returning exotic in Destiny 2. This powerful scout rifle has amazing range and stability, as well as the ability to knock back enemies. Also, it keeps your radar active while aiming. If you happen to have obtained the MIDA Mini-Tool (legendary submachine gun), you get even more perks for this potent firearm.
The perks for the MIDA Multi-Tool in Destiny 2 are:
MIDA Multi-Tool – Boosts movement speed.
Corkscrew Rifling – Increased range, stability, and handling speed.
High-Caliber Rounds – Increased range, shots knock back targets.
MIDA Radar – Radar stays active while aiming down sights.
Hand-Laid Stock – Increased stability.
You can obtain this powerful weapon for yourself by unlocking and completing the exotic quest tied to it. Here’s how to do that.
First you must beat Destiny 2’s story. This unlocks a new quest on each planet, and you’ll want to do the one on Earth called “Enhance.” There are a few parts to it, but don’t worry they’re fairly easy and you’re told exactly where to go. You’re basically just killing tons of Fallen while uncovering a weird Ether plot. For your efforts, Devrim Kay will give you the MIDA Mini-Tool.
After you’re all done, go to the Tower and talk to Banshee-44 who gives you an item and a new quest called “Sigh, Shoot, Repeat.” It’s time to start working hard. The first part has you doing the following steps with a scout rifle:
- Kill 50 enemies with precision shots.
- Get 25 multi-kills (kill 3 or more enemies without reloading).
After this you’ll get the Under the Hood segment. This part is simple, just dismantle five rare or legendary Scout Rifles. Which unlocks the final challenge for you to face. The last part of the MIDA Multi-Tool quest is called “The Fall Will Kill You.” You must get 50 submachine gun kills while in the air. That’s it.
Once you’re done, head back to Banshee to claim your brand new exotic.
