How to Get Cabal Gold in Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen

Cabal Gold is a currency that you’ll gain access to after progressing through the introductory steps of the new Season of the Chosen questline.

Through the use of Cabal Gold, you’ll be able to forge medallions that will allow you to challenge Empress Caiatl’s champions and smash their tribute. Smashing the Tribute will give you a hammer charge and will also reward you with new weapons and gear from Season of the Chosen.

To get Cabal Gold, you’ll simply need to run playlist activities. You have a wide range of choices and just about every multiplayer activity in the game will reward you. This includes, of course, Crucible, Gambit, and Strikes, but also Dungeons public events and even Nightmare Hunts and Blind Well if you’re feeling nostalgic.

Once you have some Cabal Gold, to use it, go to your quests section and select your Hammer of Proving. Interact with it and select the medallion that you wish to socket. Once it’s socketed, you can go ahead and fire up the harder version of the Battlegrounds from the Vanguard menu on the director, and at the end of the activity, smash your Tribute Chest for your rewards.

That’s all you need to know about how to get Cabal Gold in Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen. For more tips, tricks and FAQs answered, check out our latest Destiny 2 content here, along with our Beyond Light review and Year 4 wiki guide.
