Destiny 2: Essence of Isolation Quest Steps

essence of isolation

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep sees players return to the Moon location from the original game, but this time to battle a dangerous new threat. To protect themselves, there’s a new Dreambane armor set that is collectible via a set of mini-quests that can be undertaken once the Lectern of Enchantment has been unlocked. Here’s how to get and complete the Essence of Isolation in Destiny 2.

Essence of Isolation Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Quest Steps

Of course, you’ll undertake the Essence of Isolation at some point during Shadowkeep’s main story campaign, but it’s worth noting you can also re-roll the quest to try and get better perks on your Dreambane armor.

In either case, you’ll need a Phantasmal Core before you begin, which can be obtained either via weekly bounties from the Lectern or by trading Phantasmal Fragments for Cores.

Now it is just a case of following whatever instructions are given to you for each “Essence” quest.

In the case of Isolation, all you will need to do is defeat a certain number of Fallen on the Moon. 100, to be specific, which shouldn’t take you all that long if you head to Archer’s Line.

This is an excellent farm spot where you can basically just run up and down waiting for Fallen to respawn.

Once you’ve ticked over 100 Fallen defeated you’ll get your Dreambane Gauntlet reward. Simple.

Note, while the first essences you get for the Dreambane armor in the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep campaign are free, Phantasmal Cores are necessary to keep rolling. And you probably will be re-rolling since the higher your power level, the more likely you are to get better gear the next time around.
