Shadowkeep, the big new Destiny 2 expansion, is finally out and it’s added a load of new content to the ever popular game. The Essence of Greed quest rewards you with the A Fine Memorial Machine Gun, but you need to find some things along the way. Unlocking the Quest
During the Shadowkeep campaign you’ll receive your first crack at getting the Essence of Greed upon completion of the various challenges and campaign missions.
After you (eventually) complete the Essence of Greed for the first time, you can re-obtain this short quest by purchasing a new one from the Lectern of Enhancement for one Phantasmal Core
Completing Activities on the Moon
The first part of the requirements in the quest asks you to complete activities, with it filling up a percentage bar as you do so.
This is quite straight forward, thankfully, with you needing to do little more than just complete Lost Sectors, Public Events, and Patrols.
Get Machine Gun Kills
The second part of this quest is pretty simple too. Just equip any machine gun that you enjoy and go about getting kills.
What we’d recommend doing is getting those kills while completing the activities required for the first part of the quest. Therefore you’ll be killing two birds with one stone.
Ethereal Charms Location
Finding the Ethereal Charms is the trickiest part of the quest. First, what you need to do is head to the Temple of Crota, which is located near the Anchor of Light. See below:
Then, head into the temple and go down to the lower floor, hugging the left path until you reach the location shown in the image below. Once you get there, the Ethereal Cord will be marked for you to head over to.
A Fine Memorial Perks & Stats
You can see the Machine Gun that you get for completing the quest and getting the Ethereal Charms down below. Don’t fixate on the perks though, as this weapons rolls with random ones, so you’ve just got to be lucky that you get ones that help you. You can try again by purchasing another Essence of Greed if you don’t like what you got.
