Destiny 2: Beyond Light and Season of the Hunt are here, and both new content drops bring with them sets of new armor and weapons to collect and utilize. One such weapon, the Deafening Whisper void grenade launcher, is… making some waves as being the second gun released in its archetype. In this guide, we’ll go over how to get and farm Deafening Whisper in Destiny 2’s Season of the Hunt.

Deafening Whisper Farm in Destiny 2

As alluded to above, this is the second grenade launcher in the Wave Frame archetype. These GLs are very unique in that rather than traditionally exploding on contact or bouncing around when their rounds make impact, they set loose a burst of energy onto the ground that is great for clearing packs of enemies and triggering perks.

What makes Deafening Whisper unique is that it’s void and has a suite of unique perk combos that might make it quite handy in situations where you have to fight lots of Vex… perhaps in Deep Stone Crypt?

Anyway, to get Deafening Whisper in Destiny 2 you must participate in the Season of the Hunt content, Wrathborn Hunts. If you have no idea what that is, or how to start it, please check out our Wrathborn Hunt guide and Cryptolith lure guide for detailed information on how to get started with this new content.

Once you’re caught up and you have your Cryptolith Lure set up, you’ll need to set it so your target is the Fallen Wrathboth, Savek. From there you can pick whatever other mods (or not) that you want.

You can farm up to two powerful versions of Deafening Whisper per week (at the start, this can increase later on) but you can farm as many other non-powerful versions as you want as long as you have lure charges stored up.

That’s all you need to know for how to get Defeaning Whisper in Destiny 2’s Season of the Hunt.
