Souls are the currency that make the world go round in Demon’s Souls. They let you increase your stats, buy valuable items and otherwise prove that you’ve decimated countless foes. Should you die at the hands of said foes though, you’ll lose everyone in your possession, and to make sure you know how to get them back, we’re here with a guide on how to recover lost Souls in Demon’s Souls.
How to Recover Lost Souls in Demon’s Souls
To recover lost Souls in Demon’s Souls, all you need to do is return to the point where you last died.
When you die, a glowing bloodstain will be left at or near the point where you fell. It’ll be exactly where you died so long as you were on level ground, and it will be near where you died if you fell off of a ledge, or into somewhere that’s inaccessible without dying.
Should you successfully go back to this point and press the X Button, you’ll recover all of the spiritual currency that you were carrying at the time of your death.
Of course, this is easier said than done in most cases. Demon’s Souls’ enemies respawn every time you die or leave an area, and as such, you’ll have to find a way to get to your boodstain without being killed by all of the foes that are now in your way again.
This could mean facing off with them and strolling over to your bloodstain once they’re dead; or, more realistically, running past them, quickly interacting with your bloodstain and high-tailing it before you get smeared across the ground once more.
Take your time, and figure out what the best strategy for getting your stuff back is. So long as you’re patient, you should be able to prevent the loss of any valuable resources and the time spent getting them.
