Deathloop: How to Enact the Plan & Kill Aleksis (Devouring the Lambs)

deathloop, how to enact the plan

Aleksis is one of the hardest Visionaries to kill not only because he’s surrounded by dozens of Eternalists ready to protect him but also because the entire party is in masquerade. So how do you identify and take him out? Well, here we’ll explain how to enact the plan and kill Aleksis in Deathloop.

How to Enact the Plan & Kill Aleksis in Deathloop

In fact, we’re going to give you two different options to ‘Enact the Plan:’ one that suits a full stealth playthrough, and another that will only be stealthy up until the point you take Aleksis out.

Enacting the Plan by Turning Off the Chocolate Beer

The first way of enacting the plan is to turn off the taps that fuel Aleksis’s favorite draft beer. You may have discovered a lead around his club that mentions his love for Chocolate beer, and this is one easy way of identifying Aleksis and actually luring him away from the other Eternalists for a stealth takedown.

Don’t worry if you haven’t discovered the lead, though, as this will actually work regardless.

To enact the plan using the Chocolate beer method, approach Aleksis’ party from the western side of the map. It really helps speed up the process if you have Shift, though it’s definitely possible to just rely on double jumping. The idea is the huge western side of Updaam and basically sneak around the back of the party.

There’s a big sign on the other side of a canyon that separates Updaam from the facility Aleksis is holding his party at. There’s a very small gap you crawl into, and then access a back entrance to find his beer cellar.

Once you’re in the cellar, take out the two Eternalists, then descend into the cellar and carefully disarm all the tripwires and mines that protect the three cranks controlling the beer taps. Turn off the middle one, which is labeled Chocolate.

Now it’s just a waiting game. Leave the beer cellar and return to the outer ledge from where you entered. Eventually, once Aleksis is done rambling over the loudspeaker, he will attempt to refill his glass and realize the beer has run dry. He’ll then come to investigate the cellar, and it’s here you can lay in wait to take him out.

Enacting the Plan by Playing the DJ

The second method of enacting the plan is to identify Aleksis by playing his favorite tune. You may have found a lead that suggests it will be possible to ‘play the DJ’ and lure Aleksis out of hiding, but it isn’t entirely clear how you’re supposed to go about doing that.

First things first, you’ll need to sneak onto the club’s first floor. As with the previous method, it’s really very easy if you have Shift as you’ll be able to get onto the roof of the building and drop down. Alternatively, just enter via the back entrance as above and use aether to get up to the sound booth. You’ll know you’ve hit the correct area when you see a piano.

Proceed through the door at the back and outside. Now look back at the door you just came through and above to spot a window. Jump up and get through. Here you’ll be in Aleksis’s bathroom where there are two leads worth inspecting: the Perfection document, and Egor Unfiltered, Part 2 cassette.

Now check out the corner of the room next to the toilet to find a Music Sample that plays Aleksis’s perfect mix There’s a Music Sampler here set to Aleksis’s “perfect” mix. Remember the numbers listed here (they are different for every time you attempt this mission).

Now it’s time to return to the Music Sample and enter the same numbers. From here you can get a good look at Aleksis as he reveals himself and take him out from above. Obviously, the entire building will be alerted to your presence afterward so get ready to make a swift exit.
