Just because you can’t romance NPCs doesn’t mean you shouldn’t build your bonds with these people, it will be crucial for gaining better things to craft.

Building up your relationships with other characters across the United Cities of America is the crux of the gameplay loop. The romance part will just have to be left to your imagination.
