Even after completing the main story, there are still a few post-game things you can do in the big world of Days Gone. Here’s a rundown of the things to do after beating Days Gone.
Hunt the Hordes
The post-game content in Days Gone isn’t really drastically different from what you’ve already been doing in the main campaign, but there’s one big change to be aware of: the Hordes.
If you take a look at your map, you’ll start seeing the general locations of all the Hordes in the game. At this point, you’ve already got access to the napalm molotovs, which are insanely powerful against Hordes, along with the best weapons and explosives to actually give you a fighting chance against them.
Clearing out all Hordes is one of the many storylines you can complete in Days Gone, and they also reward you with over 200 Swarmer Ears, making it easier for you to build Trust with the surrounding camps. They’re also a valuable source of experience points, if you’re looking to purchase all available skills.
Max Out Trust With All Camps
If you want to be a completionist, Days Gone’s post-game content actually comes packed with a few extra, though optional, camp missions as well.
Diamond Lake and Wizard Island will be open to you once again, with new leaders around to issue new jobs and bounties. These are pretty nice if you’re looking for some closure to the main story. In addition to that, Tucker and Copeland will still be around to give you more jobs.
By completing camp missions, you can level up Trust with the camps very quickly, and doing so will give you access to their full merchant stock. This means better weapons and max bike upgrades, so you can start living the ultimate drifter life in Oregon.
Complete All Storylines
Now, we can’t actually confirm this ourselves as we’re not at that point yet, but supposedly there is a true ending to be unlocked if you get 100% completion for every single storyline in Days Gone.
This means that you need to defeat all Hordes, clear all NERO checkpoints, reach the max Trust level with all camps, and complete all the bounty hunter jobs.
This is no easy feat, and will likely take you quite a bit of time to complete. We definitely recommend focusing on maxing out your Trust levels first, just so you’ll be able to have better weaponry to take out the remaining Hordes and mop up any leftover quests quickly.
Oh, and don’t forget to do that final post-game main mission as well to finish up the storyline about Deacon’s past.
