You’ve got more than other enemies’ guns to worry about when roaming Night City in Cyberpunk 2077. You can also be damaged by being hacked, either from up close or remotely. As you start getting hacked, you’ll overheat, which will quickly start to negatively affect your HP. To keep your health as full as you can, here’s everything you need to know about how to stop overheating in Cyberpunk 2077.
When you’re being hacked, an overheating bar will fill up. Once it does, it’ll start affecting your health. While in combat, you can be hacked either by enemies you’re directly in the line of sight of, or by nearby cameras.
How to Stop Overheating in Cyberpunk 2077
Thankfully, there is a few ways to stop it. First, you can simply get out of the way of whatever is hacking you. If you hide, making sure you’re out of the line of sight of everything, you’ll stop overheating.
Otherwise, if moving isn’t an option, you can take out whatever it is that’s hacking you. If it’s a camera, shoot it to destroy it and end the hack, or kill the enemy close by if they’re the one who’s causing the overheating. You’ll want to do either before the bar fills up, at which point you’ll start losing health.
It’s also help you to unlock the I Spy perk, which you’ll find under the Intelligence and Quickhacking segments of the skill tree. What I Spy does is make it clear to you who is hacking you when you start to overheat. It makes it much easier to take out the offender before the bar fills up.
