First off, to unlock this quest, you need to have completed the main mission Playing For Time and meet Johnny Silverhand. After that, you’ll have free reign to explore Night City and take on additional gigs and side jobs.

Space Oddity is located in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo. We’ve indicated the quest’s starting location in the screenshot of the world map down below.

Once at the gas station, talk to the bums there to start the quest. If you have the right stats, or if you’re on the Streetkid lifepath, you can either coerce or convince the bums to hand over the briefcase. If not, you’ll have to either purchase it from them or take it with brute force.

After that, your next task is to examine the briefcase. If your Intelligence is at 6, you can hack into it pretty easily and check the Files section to get the location of the drop-off point.

And if not, go around the left side of the building and check the dumpsters for the corpse. Examine the corpse to get a Shard, then take it back to the briefcase to unlock it for the drop-off point location.

Once you’re at the drop-off point, you’ll need to kill a group of enemies. It’s worth noting that Rancho Coronado is considered a high level area in Cyberpunk 2077, and you’ll need to be around level 20 or so in order to take down the enemies efficiently. If not, they’ll be able to down you in just one or two hits, making this mission much harder than it needs to be.

After all enemies are down, pick up the Space Oddity painting, talk to Johnny, and you’ll have completed the mission.

That’s all you need to know about how to start and complete the Space Oddity mission in Cyberpunk 2077. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
