Iconic Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077

For the most part, Iconic Weapons are essentially improved, fancier, and named versions of weapons you get throughout the game. For example, an iconic pistol would be Dying Light, which you get early on in the game.

These weapons have improved stats and effects over standard versions of the weapon. For example, the Kongou pistol has higher physical damage, crit chance, bleeding chance, and a better headshot damage multiplier over a typical pistol. They also may have more mod slots as well.

In addition, they just kind of look cooler too than the regular items as well which for some people is all the reason you need.

Most importantly, though, perhaps is that Iconic Weapons can be upgraded throughout the game, allowing you to keep them relevant longer than the average weapon that you would just trade away. So definitely hang onto them if you can, you might find yourself having a need for its unique flair and feel at some point in Cyberpunk 2077.

For a full breakdown on how upgrading iconic weapons works, and the process of recrafting them into more powerful versions, see our dedicated guide here.

They aren’t quite like the exotic weapons of Destiny 2, but once again, Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t meant to be a looter-shooter that rivals those types of games all that closely anyway.
