The TNT Crate item can be dropped on to the track by racers. Then, when you drive into it, it will stick to your characters head until it explodes, making you spin for a few seconds. However, you can get free from it if you’re quick enough to react.

Getting Free From It

To get free from it once you’ve driven into it, you need to jump up and down by rapidly pressing R1 or L1 over and over again if you’re on PlayStation 4, RB or LB if you’re on Xbox One. After a few seconds of spamming the button, it should come off. If you’re too slow, it’ll explode.

What’s difficult is doing it while trying to stay on the track. It’ll also mean that you’re unable to drift while trying to get the TNT crate off you.

Get Off Me Trophy/Achievement

While this mechanic was in the original version of Crash Team Racing, the new versions have tied it to a trophy or achievement, depending on what platform you are on.

All you have to do is get free from the TNT crate successfully and the trophy/achievement will pop. Thankfully, it is not very difficult.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get free from the TNT crate and get the Get Off Me! achievement/trophy in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. For more on the game, check out our wiki guide. We’ve also listed some other helpful guides on the game down below.
