Whether Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Has Cross Platform Play

The short answer is no –Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled doesn’t support cross platform play right now. No matter whether you’re playing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch, you’ll only come up against players on the same platform when joining a race via matchmaking and you will only be able to test your skills against friends on the same platform as you.

It also seems unlikely that cross platform play will come to the game any time soon. Speaking to Stevivor prior to the game’s release, Beenox’s Co-Studio Head, Thomas Wilson said, “At the moment there’s no plan for cross-play at this time.”

Of course, if the game proves to be very popular in the coming months and people ask for it now that it is out in the wild, they may change their minds and add cross platform play to Crash Team Racing as part of an update, but the quote sounds quite definitive.

As always, if there’s news about cross platform play being added to the game, or Beenox comment on the possibility once again, we’ll be sure to update you here.
