CoD Mobile has brought Activision’s frenetic and fast-paced first-person shooter to mobile devices around the world. With a plethora of modes, cosmetics to grind out, and a comprehensive leveling system, this is the definitive Call of Duty experience on the go. What’s more, the whole thing just got a lot better with the introduction of the popular Gun Game mode. Here’s how to play Gun Game on CoD Mobile.
Playing Gun Game on CoD Mobile
To play Gun Game in CoD Mobile, you’ll first need to make sure you’ve reached level 8. The mode is only unlocked after reaching this, so just play some Team Deathmatch or whatever your favorite mode currently is to grind out that XP.
When you’ve hit level 8, you can then press the Multiplayer option on the right-side of the home screen.
Then, press the Game Mode option just above the ‘Start’ button in the bottom right corner of the next screen. For us, this was set to ‘Frontline, Random.’ Tap on this and you’ll then be able to choose between any of the unlocked game modes.
Gun Game isn’t a core mode though, so you’ll need to tap ‘Featured’ at the top of this ‘Mode Select’ screen to be able to find it. Then, you should see Gun Game available as the second option, next to Free-For-All.
Once, you’ve select this, tap Confirm and then ‘Start’ on the ‘Multiplayer’ screen to begin searching for a match.

- Reach Level 8 to unlock Gun Game
Earn XP in any other game mode to reach level 8.
- Go to the ‘Multiplayer’ screen.
- Tap on the ‘Game Mode’ select option.
It’s just above ‘Start’ in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Go to ‘Featured’ along the top.
- Select ‘Gun Game.’
- Press ‘Start’
How Long Is Gun Game Available for in CoD Mobile?
Gun Game is live for 30 days, and will be removed from the game on Nov. 15. Nothing has been said regarding whether or not the mode will return after this, but if it’s popular with fans, we imagine it will do at some point in the future.
