Without a loadout you’re comfortable with, you’re going to struggle in Black Ops Cold War‘s multiplayer. Some weapons are better than others and you’ll need different options for different maps and modes. So that you can take advantage of OP weapons, here’s everything you need to know about how to unlock create a class and get more loadouts.

How to Unlock Create a Class in Black Ops Cold War

Create a Class will not be available straight away in multiplayer, but you don’t have too long to wait.

You’ll be able to make five of your own loadouts once you hit rank four, but you’ll likely want to change them consistently as you unlock new weapons, perks, and pieces of gear.

Between ranks 4 and 55, at which point you can prestige, you’ll unlock a variety of new weapons. The M16 and MP5 are very good in Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer, so you’ll want to build classes around them as soon as you can.

How to Get More Loadouts

If you often change mode in Black Ops Cold War, you’ll want a variety of different loadouts and create a class options to switch between, so that you’re not changing the make up of them all of the time. Thankfully, you can get more than the initial five options.

First of all, you can get two more ‘bonus’ loadouts if you’re playing on PlayStation consoles.

Then, no matter which system you’re playing on, you’ll unlock five additional create a class slots between ranks 4 and 31. Just keep playing and you’ll slowly get the option to build more loadouts.

Black Ops Cold War Loadouts in Warzone

In early December, you’ll also be able to use your Black Ops Cold War loadouts in Modern Warfare’s Warzone mode. The engine will stay the same in the standalone mode, with just the gear from the new game coming over.
