The holiday season is rapidly approaching, and alongside colder weather, a familiar FPS juggernaut will be bringing high-speed military combat to platforms near you. Infinity Ward is back with its latest title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which is set to be the most ambitious title to date. As is custom for Call of Duty, a multiplayer beta will be commencing soon to build up the hype for the upcoming title. In case you missed the news, here’s what you need to know about when the beta starts for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Beta Schedule
Much like previous betas, Modern Warfare 2’s beta will be split across two weeks with PlayStation players getting the first wave of access to the beta as part of an exclusivity deal.
- Sept. 16-17 will see the official start of the beta. Players who preordered on PS4 or PS5 will get to play on these days.
- Sept. 18-20 are the open beta times for PlayStation players. Any player can play without the requirement of preordering as long as they have the beta downloaded on their console.
Following the PlayStation exclusive beta window, players on Xbox and PC will be able to play the beta in the “Crossplay Beta”.
- Sept. 22-23 is early access for players who preordered the game on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. PlayStation players will be granted open access to the beta.
- Sept. 24-26 are the final days of the beta and will be open access for all players regardless of preorders and platform.
