Hack the Robots

Very early on in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the game will teach you how to use Hacking Charges on the robot enemies. These tools can come in especially handy when you’re facing off against a horde of robots, and will allow you to take out most of them in one go.

Whenever you’re up against these mechanical foes, hold down the L1 button or LB to view the available targets for hacking. You’ll want to focus on the one you want to hack, wait until its silhouette glows red, and then release the button to initiate the hack. This will give you control over the robot, and you can move it around and fire its weapons. More interestingly, you can also initiate a self-destruct sequence that will kill anyone who happens to be standing near it.

However, Reyes will be vulnerable whenever you hack, so make sure you’re behind aerial cover before you start.

Master Aerial Combat

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare features more than a few battle sequences where you’ll have to get into your starship and fight other enemy ships in space. While your targets may seem hard to hit at first, don’t forget that you can hold down the L2 button to initiate a target lock and make it easier for you to track your shots. Of course, don’t forget to keep an eye on the overheat meter in the bottom right corner of your screen. If your weapon does overheat, tap the triangle button to swap over to your cannons and continue firing.

Every now and then, you’ll also have to shoot down missiles heading your way. The best way to deal with this is by launching flares while you’re still locked on. This can be done with a tap of the L1 button, and your flares will track the missiles you’re locked on to. The flares have a short cooldown timer, so use them wisely.

Pick Up Every Gun

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

You might not get attached to every single gun available in Infinite Warfare, but it’s good to pick them up anyways. Picking up a new weapon will automatically add the gun’s info to your logs so you know exactly what weapon type they’re classified as, and what special features they might include.

Not only that, some enemies can drop weapons with special sights and modifications as well. You might be attached to the Scout Rifle you have now, but you never know when you might come across the same weapon but with a much superior sight. Experiment with the new guns you find.

Choose a Suitable Loadout

Following the previous tip, it’s really important to find weapons that will suit your play style. This is why it’s also important to pick up all the guns you find, so that you can read through the info and decide which one works best for you. You might be fan of the high rate of fire for Assault Rifles, but Submachine Guns can be reloaded much quicker, and can deal a decent amount of DPS, as well. Or if you’re more into using melee attacks and getting up close and personal with your foes, a Shotgun might be more up your alley.

You can customize your loadout before you head out for a major mission. While it’s never a bad idea to pick out the recommended weapons listed by the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, it’s always better to choose the ones that you’re most comfortable with.

Don’t Forget Your Shield in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Battlefield 1

There’s a shield that you can pick up from a fallen enemy fairly early on in the game, and I highly recommend you make full use of it whenever you can. By holding down the L1 button, the shield will absorb a set amount of damage while allowing you to push ahead. It’s also worth noting that you can perform melee attacks with the shield, and these attacks will one-shot most of the mobs you come across.

Again, if you’re a fan of getting close to your enemies, the shield can be extremely invaluable to your loadout, and it’s best paired with high impact weapons that might not have the best range.
