Bugsnax is a new indie game from the same team that worked on Octodad: Dadliest Catch. In it, you play as a journalist who is trying to get a big scoop to keep their job. You’ll interview the residents of Snaktooth Island while also capturing lots of different critters called Bugsnax. Here’s a guide on how to catch Pineantula in Bugsnax.
Catching Pineantula in Bugsnax
Once you enter the Simmering Springs biome, just make your way over to the right, and you’ll spot a Pineantula hanging out. There’s also some on the beach itself. Once you scan the critter with your camera, you’ll see that it dislikes Crapples, which are those half apple half crab creatures walking around the beach.
The Crapples are fans of Chocolate sauce, so all you need to do is lure the Crapple over to the Pineantula, and it’ll lift it off of the ground. Once it does this, the Pineantula can just be caught with a simple trap. Just make sure to do it before it burrows back into the ground. If it does, just get the Crapple to pull it out again.
We used a slinger to lure the Crapple to the Pineantula in Bugsnax, but you could also use the Buggy Ball, coat it in chocolate, and then have the Crapple follow it to the Pineantula.
And that’s all you need to know about how to catch a Pineantula in Bugsnax. If you’re on the hunt for more bug-catching tips and tricks, make sure to search Twinfinite. We have a bunch of guides for some of the hardest critters out there.
