At one point in Bugsnax‘s story, you’ll be asked to turn a character’s feet into Big Bopsicles. However, you’re not given any information on where to find them or how to catch them. So that you can complete the quests and add the creature to your collection, here’s everything you need to know about how to catch Big Bopsicle in Bugsnax.
First things first, you need to head to the Sugarpine Woods biome in Bugsnax. You’ll need to head back to Snaxburg and follow the steps to open the bridge to the mountain, then head into the woodland area.
How to Catch Big Bopsicle in Bugsnax
Here, you’ll find Big Bopsicle on the left-hand side of the area. There’ll be two of them, they’ll rush you if you get too close, and they’ll freeze you to the point you need to try to break free. They’re pretty annoying to deal with.
Catching Big Bopsicles in Bugsnax requires you to interact with the other snak that’s there, the Charmallow. The Charmallow will only be around between the hours of 4 pm and 4 am, through the evening and overnight, so you’ll need to find a bed to sleep until then.
Once you’re back in the area at the right time, you’ll find out by scanning the Charmallow that it’s attracted to Peanut Butter. Using your Slinger, (you’ll find some PB from just to the left of the entrance to Sugarpine Woods) fire some at one Big Bopsicle and the Charmallow will rush down to it.
Then, the fiery Charmallow will melt the Big Bopsicle’s outer coating and a countdown will start, lasting 20 seconds. What you need to do is make sure that the melted Big Bopsicle you’re trying to catch in Bugsnax doesn’t run into another frozen one as it’ll freeze again, meaning you can’t catch it.
After the 20 seconds have lapsed, the snak will break into two individual Bopsicles.
You can then walk up to the smaller one and press square to grab it in your net.
Don’t worry about the quest asking you to catch a ‘Big’ Bopsicle; catching two smaller ones that break from a large one still counts.
