Bugsnax has a ton of different critters for you to collect, and some of them can just be a pain to catch. If you’re trying to fill out your Bugapedia or just complete one of the quests from Shelda, here’s how to break and catch Eggler in Bugnax.

How to Break and Catch Eggler in Bugsnax

After getting Cheese sauce for Shelda in the Sizzlin’ Sands biome, she’ll then ask you to crack two Egglers. If you’ve been exploring the area already, you might’ve noticed several eggs laying about. These are Egglers –well, the Egglers are inside, but breaking the eggs themselves will count towards the quest.

So far, we’ve found two different ways to open up these eggs. The first way would be to the get the Buffalocust to divebomb into the egg. This critter loves Ranch and Hot sauce, so just coat the egg in either of those once the Buffalocust flies near it, and it’ll attack the egg.

If you find an Eggler close to the Loaded Spuddy, you can also use Ketchup or Cheese sauce to lure that to the egg, and that’s the other way you can break it.

Now, if you want to actually catch an Eggler, it’ll pop out of the egg once it’s broken and will probably run away from you at first. Wait until it makes its own path and then just place a trap for it to crawl into.

Press R2 to activate the trap once the Bugsnak is in the right area, and then just go up to the trap to retrieve it before the time runs out.
