Bowser’s Fury Slipskate Slope Shines: How to Get All Cat Shines

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

In order to access Slipskate Slope you’ll need to collect five Cat Shines and fight off Fury Bowser using the Lakeside Giga Bell. The island has five new shines that can be completed immediately upon arrival. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get all of the Cat Shines in Slipskate Slope in Bowser’s Fury.

How to Get All Slipskate Slope Shines in Bowser’s Fury

Make the Lighthouse Shine

Like with most islands in the game, all you have to do for the Make the Lighthouse Shine shine is to follow the path a head of you. This one is particularly quick and straightforward.

Hop into the Ice Skate at the start of the level and follow along the path. Just take your time and you likely won’t take damage or get knocked out of the skate. If you do get knocked out, there are a few extra skates along the way to replace the one you lost.

Once you get to the end of the path, you’ll be able to grab the first shine sitting next to the lighthouse!

Blue Coin Bustle

Another time trial here, and unlike the one in Pounce Bounce Isle, this one can be a little bit tricky.

You need to leave Slipskate Slope to activate this one. Once you return, hit the blue button and start grabbing the blue coins along the path. I strongly recommend using the Ice Skate for the first part of this section.

You’ll follow the path picking up all the blue coins along the way. Once you reach the tunnel with the rotating platforms, you’ll notice there are now clouds on the inside. You can stay on the skate for this part, but I actually found it easier to ditch the skate and do this part on foot. Once you get through the tunnel, grab the last three blue coins on the right side of the ramp and your timer will reset.

Jump down and there will be another Ice Skate for you to grab. Get in it and continue along the rest of the way grabbing the blue coins until you reach the end. Keep in mind you have to be quick, but you also cannot miss any of the blue coins.

If you do not succeed the first time, on the other side of the last ramp by the lighthouse, you can find a cannon that will shoot you back up to the top of the mountain so you can try again. Practice makes perfect on this one.

Key to the Cat Shine

Another Cat Shine stuck in a cage! Again, you have to leave to get the cage to appear. Return and you’ll see it in the starting area.

Finding the key is actually the easiest part of this shine as it is located right next to the lighthouse. Grab it and then the real challenge starts –making your way back.

The game will shift into fury mode, so prepare to dodge some falling fireballs on your way back.

Rush back to the start of the level, taking the newly placed platforms along the way. Keep in mind running makes you drop the key, though you can then run into the key to grab it again.

Once you reach the start, you just unlock the cage and claim the shine.

Five Cat Shine Shards

The five shards in this level are extremely straight forward, easy to see and not too hard to grab.

1. The first one can be found on top of a stack of Cat Goombas at the start of the level. Use the Ice Skate to kill them and grab the shard.

2. The next one is straight along the path. Use the Ice Skate on the way down and jump onto the ramp to grab the shine.

3. The next shine is immediately afterward in the spinning tunnel on the left hand side.

4. After you exit the first tunnel, take the ramp and land on top of the second tunnel to grab the next shine.

5. Finally, the fifth shine can be found in the air after jumping off the last ramp before the Lighthouse.

Blast the Fury Blocks

Another side of Fury Blocks to destroy, this time on the outskirts of the level next to the Giga Bell.

Wait for bowser to wake up and stand by the Fury Blocks until he breaths fire your way, destroying the blocks hiding the shine.
