While clear pipes might look a bit daunting, all you have to do if you want to go a certain way is press the left stick in the direction you want to travel in. Make the Lighthouse Shine
When you arrive on this island, the first thing in front of you is a mess of clear pipes. In the first section of them, all you have to do is go down the path to the top right, and you’ll come out of the exit of the first section.
The second section is almost the same; get to the end, and the way out is right at the end. Make sure you don’t endlessly loop around. Once you get onto the platform and into the next set of pipes, make sure you don’t endlessly loop once again and keep going to the right.
You’ll come into a big maze of pipes laid out in a bunch of squares, make sure you go to the top right and pop out of the pipe, and hit the POW block; it will get rid of all the obstacles in your way. Continue to the upper left of this pipe maze, and the pipe will spit you into a cannon. Press the A button, and you’ll get launched right in front of the Cat Shine.

Blue Coin Bustle
This one is also reasonably straightforward, as you have to collect blue coins while traveling in the clear pipes. The switch that starts the challenge is right in front of the cat gate.
As soon as it starts, enter the clear pipe in front of you, and instead of going to the top right like in the previous cat shine, go to the left, and you’ll see a new pipe that leads upwards.
Go that way and just travel through the rest of the pipes, collecting all the blue coins as fast as you can. If you’re having trouble, run through the challenge a few times until you right the fastest way of obtaining the coins.

Blast the Fury Blocks
To the left of the first cluster of clear pipes is some fury blocks on the side of the Pipe Path Tower wall. You’ll need Bowser to enter his fury mode and for him to use his flamethrower attack. It will break the blocks, and you’ll be able to get the cat shine inside.
As soon as the sky gets dark and rainy, head to this spot and wait for Bowser to come out so you can grab the cat shine.

Key to the Cat Shine
This one is a tad bit harder, but only because you have to walk along the clear pipes and not travel in them. The key you need to open the cage to the cat shine is in the cluster of clear pipes that form many squares. You can quickly get there by jumping off the top of the tower and using a Tanooki Suit to propel yourself down slowly.
Then, walk along the clear pipes and head to the left of the key, where you can walk back down to the cage. Make sure you don’t fall, or you’ll have to start again.

Find the Five Cat Shine Shards
- The first one is straightforward. As soon as you step on the island, you’re faced with a clear pipe. Run into it the pipe and travel down the path directly below the directional arrow that points to the right. You’ll pop up right under the Cat Shine and be forced to grab it. Easy-peasy.
2. Once you get past the second section of clear pipes, all you have to do is jump on top of them and back-track a little bit to grab the shine—another simple Cat Shine Shard.
3. The third one is even easier; all you have to do is direct yourself to pop out of the pipes in the middle of the square.
4. Continue going up the tower using the clear pipes, and you’ll get to the section where the pipes form a bunch of mini squares. There’s a pipe that opens up at the bottom of this section with a Cat Shine Shard right there. Just pop out of the opening and grab it.
5. Once you get to the top of the tower, there will be another clear block in front of you. Use a Fire Flower to get rid of the spikey balls and enter the pipe. The only exit is the one that leads to the Cat Shine Shard.
