How to Get the Boomer Legendary SMG in Moxxi’s Heist
The main loot source for the Boomer is the same for the Lucky 7, Scraptrap Prime. Scraptrap Prime is first encountered in the main quest line while following the One Man’s Treasure quest. Once the quest is over, Scraptrap Prime can be farmed easily by returning to where he spawns, and there is a New-U Station with short distance. The Boomer appears to have a higher drop rate from this boss than the Lucky 7.
Stats and Perks
While if you just look at damage, the Boomer isn’t that special for an SMG, especially for Dahl. However, the special ability of this legendary SMG means that shots explode on impact. This is one of the weapons you do need to be careful with, as the splash damage explosions can absolutely harm the shooter.
The item card specifically calls out splash damage, which is something that a whole Moze skill tree specializes in, making it a good weapon if that’s your build.
Of the several farmed, it appears they are all fire based, an the splash damage makes it nice to bring back into the Scraptrap fight to farm.
