How to Get Golden Touch in Borderlands 3

The Golden Touch is a unique Rare shield that you can get in Borderlands 3, and actually makes for a pretty good addition to your arsenal during the early hours of the game.

Getting it is pretty simple, and only requires you to complete the Golden Calves side mission for Vaughn.

After killing Mouthpiece as part of the story when you first start out in Pandora, follow the linear path out of the room and you’ll see two side mission markers on your map.

One of them is for the AI mission, and the other is for Golden Calves.

Golden Calves simply requires you to use a 3D printer to print out statues of Vaughn and display them around enemy camps. Just follow your objective markers and you’ll be done with this quest in no time.

Stats and Perks

Like all other loot drops and weapons in Borderlands 3, the stats rolls on the Golden Touch won’t necessarily be the same across the board, but you can get an idea of what the perks are like.

The Golden Touch’s perks are as follows:

  • +5% Max Health per second while shields are full.
  • +10% Movement Speed when shield is depleted.
  • +80% Melee Damage when shield is depleted.

With that in mind, this is a very defensive-focused shield that can definitely beef you up quite a bit just in case your shields are completely depleted during a fight. It’s great for both melee builds and long range players who might prefer attacking with a sniper rifle.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the Golden Touch and what it does in Borderlands 3. Be sure to check our Borderlands 3 guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
