Borderlands 3, the long awaited third numbered entry in Gearbox’s loot shooter series, is finally here. The world is more varied and packed than ever before, so you’ll want to get around it as quickly as possible. Here’s everything you need to know about how to fast travel in Borderlands 3.
As you would have seen in the trailers, Borderlands 3 feature a huge map full of dramatically different locations. While you can, of course, make your way around on foot, fast traveling is easier.
How to Fast Travel in Borderlands 3
You won’t be able to fast travel everywhere from the start of the game. Not only do new areas of the map open up gradually as you make your way through the main quest, but you actually have to visit fast travel points to unlock them.
They’re easy to find, being shown by a little planet symbol on your map, but you’ll have to go to them in person to activate them. Once you’ve done so once, you’ll be able to fast travel between them as and when you like.
To check out what’s nearby and where you can travel to, you can open up your Borderlands 3 zone map by pressing the Options button if you’re on PlayStation 4 (Menu button if you’re on Xbox One).
From that map, you can select any station that you’ve previously visited and choose to fast travel there.
