Is There Crossplay in Call of Duty Black Ops 4?
In this day and age of playing Fortnite across PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Switch, it’s natural to wonder if the new Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is following suit. Especially with them having their own version of the Battle Royale mayhem. It’s true, Blackout is sweet, but can you play with your friend on PC? Here’s what you need to know about Black Ops 4 crossplay and whether you’ll be able to play with friends cross platform.
You unfortunately cannot do the above. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. There’s no Black Ops 4 crossplay right now.
As of this moment, there’s been minor rumblings of this happening, but nothing that can be confirmed. Because of that and the fact that Activision hasn’t come out to give an official statement, either, we can’t in good conscience tell you that it’s definitely coming soon.
We’ve reached out to Activison for comment, and will update this if anything changes.
While you can’t play any zombies or Blackout mode cross platform (unfortunately), at least there’s a ton of modes you can play with friends online (through the same consoles) or splitscreen (on the same console)!
You’ll have the options of playing through the traditional multiplayer (and all the modes that entails), the zombies modes (and all the maps that brings along), and Blackout (the all new battle royale). So make sure to coordinate with your besties to get the game on the same console, and you’ll have plenty of options!
