Biomutant: Where to Find Charcoal (Charred for Coal Side Quest)

Boom is a friendly warthog-like creature that runs an ammunition store out of a little truck in Puffduff Bluff. When you first meet him, he’ll ask for help gathering ingredients to help him make more ammunition for you and other customers. This kickstarts the ‘Charred for Coal‘ questline, which tasks you to ‘Find a fixer-upper.’ In this guide, we’ll run you through where to go to complete the quest, including where to find Charcoal in Biomutant.

Where to Find a Fixer-Upper in Biomutant

First off, you’ll need to find a fixer-upper. By that, Boom means you’ll need to find a wrecked house. This is marked on your map with a blue hexagonal quest marker when tracking the quest.

Once you arrive at the house, head over to the stables on its right-hand side, and attack the haystack to set it alight.

This will then cause the whole house to burn down in a cutscene. Once you regain control, head inside the house and interact with the burned piles. They’ll be glowing, so you know what you’re looking out for. There are three of these piles, and you’ll need to search all these.

After searching these, you’ll be awarded with the Charcoal you need for the ‘Charred for Coal’ side quest in Biomutant. Now return to Boom and he’ll task you with finding the next of his ammunition ingredients.

This next one requires you to speak to Moog and complete some of his ‘Munster Honter’ quests in order to get some dung… lovely stuff!
