How to Block & Parry Attacks in Biomutant

Blocking and parrying in Biomutant is all about timing. More than anything though, you need to watch out for the little lightning bolts that appear above an enemy’s head, which indicate they’re about to attack. It’s at this moment you need to quickly press LB/ L1 when they’re attacking, and you’ll block and parry their attack.

This will briefly stun them, and if you perfectly counter an enemy attack and then attack them again, you can then launch them into the air with LB/L1 again. This opens up a bunch of combos, not to mention stunning enemies allows you to get a few hits in quickly.

As we mentioned right at the top, defense in Biomutant is just as important as learning attacking combos, especially because you’ll frequently find yourself surrounded by lots of enemies in combat situations. If you can block incoming attacks, you won’t need to lean on health replenishment as much, and you can also get away with wearing less armor.
