Biomutant’s narrative design puts a big emphasis on player choice, and your decisions throughout the game will not only impact how the story concludes but who gets to join you as reaches its big crescendo. Here are Biomutant’s Ark seats explained, who you should pick, at why it matters.
Obviously, we’ll be discussing story spoilers here, so beware of reading on if you want to continue without knowing what happens in the game’s closing moments.
Biotmutant Ark Seats Explained
While saving the Tree of Life and, in turn, the planet, is one of your ultimate goals in Biomutant, it turns out that regardless of whether you choose to save or destroy the tree, you’ll actually be leaving the planet at the end of the game. This is where the Ark comes in: it’s Out-of-Date’s plan to leave the planet with seven other individuals and start new somewhere else.
Three seats are already reserved for Out-of-Date, yourself, your chosen Sifu, but you have the task of nominating the other four. There are over 20 characters to choose from, but whether they accept your invitation ultimately boils down to whether your mutant’s Aura aligns with them.
Light Aura characters will only join you if your Aura is Light, and vice versa in the case of Dark Aura. Some characters will join you regardless of whether you are light or dark.
Who Should You Pick For the Ark & Why it Matters
Who you should pick to come along in the Ark is really your preference; there’s no major consequence to who comes along and who stays. It’s essentially just a moral choice that you’ll be making according to what you think suits your role-play through the story.
Ask yourself who you would want to come along and start a new planet, and then ask yourself which personalities match that based on who you have interacted with.
Obviously, if you’ve chosen to ally with light tribes then you’ll probably want to stick to light characters. Same goes for the opposite.
