The May 10 Season 3 Reloaded patch brought huge amounts of weapon changes, the likes of which we expect to be replicated in Season 4 when it drops on June 14.

Since S3R, more nerfs have come to the ISO Hemlock (Activision’s recent punching bag) and the Cronen Squall. It’s a blow to the battle rifle, which emerged as more and more of a fan favorite across the course of the season. We’ve also had a detailed overview of Season 4, so we know a lot of what it will bring.

In the meantime, check out the tier list below for the latest meta in Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. We’ll discuss our tier list before going in detail on our three favorite weapons right now.

Warzone 2 Weapon Tier List in Season 3

There’s over 60 guns for players to choose from Warzone – a pool that’s about get bigger with the Tempus Razorback and ISO 45. Naturally, ARs and SMGs dominate the rankings while pistols, launchers and melee weapons fight for any sort of viability.

The M13B, Lachmann 556 and Lachmann Sub stand out as some of the strongest weapons right now. The ISO Hemlock returns to B-Tier after nerfs proved less impactful than first thought. On that note, the Cronen Squall drops from A to B, a victim of the May 31 changes.

The M13B and BAS-P remain in S-Tier as both grow in popularity and viability, while the Kastov 762 stays in A-Tier because of recent nerfs to its damage.

Elsewhere, the Kastov 545 moves up down, the M16 moves up to B-Tier and the FJX Imperium remains our favorite sniper – although the MCPR 300 isn’t far behind.

TierWeapons
SFJX Imperium, Lachmann 556, Lachmann Sub, M13B, Vaznev-9K

ECombat Knife, Dual Kodachis, JOKR, PILA, Riot Shield, Strela-P

Our weapon tier list is naturally subjective, with these our personal rankings. They’re guaranteed to change as future updates make some guns stronger and others weaker.

We’ve also taken into account relativity and context, meaning players need to use weapons as they were intended. If you try and snipe someone across the map with the X13 Auto you’ll be eliminated; the same as if you try and run-and-gun with the Victus XMR sniper.

Best Weapons in WZ2 Right Now

With the Warzone 2 weapon tier list in the books, we’re going to run through our picks for the best three weapons in WZ2 right now, offering a loadout for each.

M13B

The M13B is a classic CoD weapon but actually came to Warzone 2 back with Season One. It’s gradually improved since then, with its fast fire-rate and strong handling making it a great assault rifle, even if it does still struggle at long-ranges. Your best build is detailed below:

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40
  • Rear Grip: D37 Grip
  • Magazine: 60 Round Mag
  • Stock: Bruen R90 Factory

Lachmann 556

The Lachmann 556 has been an interesting weapon to watch across Season 3. Despite not really starting in a strong place or being buffed noticeably, it’s flown up the rankings and become one of the most popular ARs in the BR. It excels at medium ranges, sure to drop enemies quickly and give users a refreshingly consistent weapon:

  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Barrel: 15.9″ Lachmann Rapp Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Phase-3 Grip
  • Optic: VLK 4.0 Optic
  • Magazine: 60 Round Mag

Lachmann Sub

The Lachmann Sub (MP5) has now replaced the Vaznev-9K as our go-to SMG, mainly because the Vaznev has now received back to back nerfs. It’s still a close-run race between the two but we’re giving the edge to the Lachmann because of its fire-rate and pure damage output. The best attachments are detailed below:

  • Muzzle: XTEN RR-40
  • Magazine: 40 Round Mags
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40
  • Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10

That rounds off the ultimate Warzone 2 weapon tier list, as well as our picks for the best guns in Warzone 2 right now. Be sure to check out the related content below, which will guarantee even more success in MW2 and CoD’s battle royale! Otherwise, check out our guide on when we expect Season 4.
