red dead 2, mods, reshades

After a year long wait, Rockstar’s smash hit sequel is finally out on PC and players are inevitably looking for some Red Dead Redemption 2 PC mods to make the experience even better.

Whether that be to make the game somehow even prettier or make you feel like a god amongst men, there’s something for you here.

However, since the game is pretty new to PC, the selection is pretty small. There are still some fun and useful mods to make use of though.

Lightning Strike Weapon

The weapons in Red Dead Redemption 2 are generally pretty basic. There’s bows, rifles, and pistols, but little else. However, with a mod, you can turn yourself into a lightning wielding god.

Once it has started to rain, or you’ve changed the weather to stormy to make the Lightning Strike Weapon mod work quickly, you can shoot at enemies and see the bullets call down lightning strikes where they land.

The simple farm hands who roam Red Dead’s world won’t know what’s hit them.

Longer Days

Best Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Mods

This mod is pretty self explanatory. If you’re trying to complete missions at certain times of the day to get the benefits but are struggling with doing it in time, you can make it easier for yourself.

The Longer Days mod allows you to alter how long days last. If you want them to keep going, just slow down time as much as you can, until you’re ready to reset it back to normal.

Reshades

Reshades isn’t a single mod, but you’ll find a selection of them over at Nexus Mods if you’re looking for some visuals changes in the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2.

There are a load of options that offer photo realistic graphics, so just see which one you prefer and which suits your set-up best.

Hot Air Balloon

Best Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Mods

If you’re finding running around the huge open world of Red Dead Redemption 2, or using your horse, a little tedious, the Hot Air Balloon mod is here to make life easier and allow you to see the world from above.

You get full control of it, allowing you to take off, soar over the mountains and towns, and land where your objective is. Or, you could just use it as a new way to look around and take in the majesty of Rockstar’s creation.

Mini NPCs

Best Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Mods

The Mini NPCs mod is a silly one. Have you ever wanted to tower over all the characters in a game? If for some reason your answer is yes, well, now you can by making every NPC half their normal size.

While it’s called Mini NPCs, it also allows you to just make Arthur massive or all of Red Dead Redemption 2’s NPCs massive, whichever looks best to you. Imagine wandering around Valentine, only to see a hundred or so giants going about their daily lives.

Simple Fight Club

Best Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Mods

Yes, we know the only rule of Fight Club, but let’s forget that for a second. This easy one allows you to fight any human NPC in the game.

The Simple Fight Club mod has a few different tools for you to use that makes it more of a fight club than just a way to punch other characters, and you can also spawn any character to where you are in the game and start a fight with them.

Be sure to keep checking back with Twinfinite here and we’ll continue to add new Red Dead Redemption 2 mods as they become available.
