Best Fallout 4 Mods of February 2019
A Girl’s World
If there’s too much testosterone in your Fallout 4 playthrough, you can start the game with a clean, all-female slate. A Girl’s World does exactly what its name implies, replacing all male NPCs with female characters. It looks like the nuclear fallout did a lot more than create a huge explosion around the Commonwealth.
What’s more is that it replaces any references about Vault Boy and turns it into Vault Girl, among other interesting tweaks here and there. A Girl’s World is definitely one of the biggest Fallout 4 mods out there, and it’s a great reason to revisit the game if you’re looking for a completely different experience.
It’s worth noting that the mod is still in the works, so not everything has fully been smoothed out yet.

Nintendo Zapper
Remember that Nintendo gun you’d use for Duck Hunt and Hogan’s Alley? Now you can take it with you and use it as a real weapon thanks to this Fallout 4 mod. The Nintendo Zapper is a formidable weapon that fires some electrifying shots, killing enemies with just a few hits.
Once you’ve installed the mod, you’ll have to craft the weapon over at any Chemical Station. Look for the Nintendo category, and you should be able to pull it up. To make one, you’ll need a Laser Pistol and some junk for good measure. The gun uses Micro Fusion Cells and even comes with some retro sound effects for full-on nostalgia.

Immersive Dogmeat
Dogmeat is one of the earliest companions you’ll come across who’ll always be there for you when you need him. Apart from his ferocious fighting skills, he’s also just darn cute and makes the perfect traveling companion.
While we all know he’s the real best boy of Fallout 4, he just lacks that personality that other players are looking for. If you want to mix up Dogmeat’s personality, then use this mod to spice up your journey. It essentially removes his dog sounds for something a bit more “realistic.” You can check out this Immersive Dogmeat video for a better look at what the mod does.

Silent Combat
Fallout 4 combat is interesting, to say the least. It’s far from being a fast-paced FPS experience, but it does have its own quirks that make it all the more thrilling. However, if you’re sick of enemies babbling on about the same things during combat, sometimes you’d really just want to fight in peace.
While there’s no way to shut your enemies up in the game, this mod pretty much does the job for you. Silent Combat renders your enemies speechless so you can focus more on the fight than listening to the same phrase for the 15th time. While this mod doesn’t do anything much apart from that, it adds another layer of immersion for those who prefer to not hearing mindless talking on the battlefield.

Easy to Find Notes
Notes are scattered all across the Commonwealth, usually holding notes that tell different stories or solutions to certain riddles. Reading these scraps of paper is one of the best ways to learn about the lore if that’s something you’re interested in. While they aren’t particularly hard to find, sometimes they can get blocked out by other items.
If you’re trying to collect all of the notes in Fallout 4 or just want to learn more about the game, this mod is right up your alley. With Easy to Find Notes installed, locating these items is pretty much a cinch. These scraps of paper will now stand out thanks to its higher resolution and other small, yet substantial visual tweaks. Not only will they be saturated, but the edges have been emphasized to catch your eye.
