There are three difficulties in the game: Tadpole (Easy), Toad, and Battletoad (Hard) and you might want to lower your setting if you’re struggling on any level or against particular enemies. However, it’s helpful to know whether you need to stick to one to get all 1000 Gamerscore.

Is There a Difficulty Achievement in Battletoads?

Yes, there is a difficulty achievement in Battletoads. You’ll get one called Season Two When?, which is worth 20G, when you complete the story on any difficulty, but there’s another that’s trickier.

The second one you need to know about is called Toad Cuddle!, which is worth 30G, and requires you to finish the game on Battletoads difficulty.

Battletoads is the equivalent of Hard difficulty, so it might not be for everyone, but you’ll need to beat the game with it as your setting if you want to get all the achievements on PC and the 1000 Gamerscore on Xbox One.

You have access to Battletoads difficulty from the start of the game; you don’t have to beat it first, so you could get both completion achievements in one playthrough if you feel confident that you can. It’ll be hard, but you don’t have to complete the game twice if you don’t want to.

That’s everything you need to know about whether there is a difficulty achievement in Battletoads. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
