Battlefield 2042 introduces a brand new game mode called Hazard Zone. It has elements of squad-focused battle royales like Apex Legends but it’s definitely not a BR. In fact, it’s probably more similar to The Division’s dark zones if anything. You do only have one life, though, and after that, you will need to have a teammate to bring you back in via a redeploy. In this guide, we’ll go over how to redeploy in Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone.
How to Redeploy & Respawn in Battlefield 2042
So as mentioned above, there are no respawns nor do you have the ability to redeploy whenever you want at the start of a game of Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone game mode. However, you can obtain limited charges to do just that for you and your squad throughout the match.
Scattered throughout every map in Hazard Zone are laptops that you can access to gain extra redeploys. While you can’t see all of them at once on the map when you’re looking at your minimap, if you’re near one it will show up and you can go and scoop it up. It’s marked on your map as a parachute.
Just simply head over to wherever it is, and interact with the laptop to gain the extra redeploy which you can use to respawn a dead team one time.
Once you have at least one redeploy, any alive member of the squad can press B on PC or press LB+RB to access the call-in menu and, well, call it in. Just be careful not to waste them, or to use them in an extremely hostile area. They will drop in via parachute and you don’t want them to be a sitting duck while in the air.
